Cebu Pacific Complaint: Fixed

Last Jan. 1, 2012 I was able to avail of Cebu Pacific’s Piso fare. How glad I am to be able to pay it on time via

It has already been my nth time to CebPac so I didn’t worry much. I’m expecting for the confirmed itinerary to arrive thru my email the next day, as the case of my previous bookings. Dumadating agad kinabukasan ung receipt after the day that I paid.

But this time was different…

I’ve been waiting for 3 days already and wala pa rin. I’ve been contacting them as well – searched the internet for their email address, emailed them, posted on their FB page, tweeted them, and even called them (and talked with one of their CS who told me to email them again despite of the number of emails that I’ve already sent them). Ang buhay ay parang ‘Pigsa’ lamang

Tak. Tak. Tak.

Continue reading

Add some spice in your life slice by slice!

Of all the good things that had been laid on my table – I consider pizzas as one of the bestest.  And yes, one of my ever favorites!

Who wouldn’t crave for that that slice of melted cheese, with a little salty gooey satisfaction, sprinkled with Italian spices, overloaded with toppings – pepperonies, onions, ham, meats, mushrooms, veggies, add up a sauce – sometimes sweet or tart with a tomatoey taste, layered over a slightly buttery, soft and fluffy crust? YUUMMMMYYY!!!

It’s like having a slice of heaven here on earth, isn’t it?! Extremely addicting.

And so, just like any other addictions – the addict won’t stop until she gets to taste all the drugs there is! Continue reading

The Adventurous Side of AdventuRoj

“The use of traveling is to regulate imagination by reality, and instead of thinking how things may be, to see them as they are.” – Samuel Johnson

Yes, traveling is a brutality. It forces you to trust strangers and to lose sight of all that familiar comfort of home and friends. You are constantly off balance. Nothing is yours except the essential things – air, sleep, dreams, the sea, the sky – all things tending towards the eternal or what we imagine of it.

Yes it is brutal. But if this will be the case – then let me be a masochist. Continue reading

Snapshots: Playing Time with my Nikon D3000

If travelling is my epinephrine, photography is my amphetamine.

One of the things that I am most thankful for last 2011 is the birth of my newest baby – my Nikon D3000.

I know that it may already be an outdated model, or a beginner SLR, but what do I care? Its value lies not just because it’s one of my heart’s desires since then, but because it was born out of my own perseverance & hard work. In short, the money that I used to purchase it was my own. How fulfilling could that be!

I think it’s innate with my imaginative Aquarian Horse personality (at least that’s what astrology says) to fall in love with photography. I like to see things in a different perspective and I guess my SLR  just makes that easier. And so here’s a preview of what my imagination has in store for the world. Continue reading

A New Blog for a New Year!

I’m walking along a bright and sunny rural day here at my grandma’s countryside house. The future stretches out ahead, in the valley, hills and mountains that surround me. The past is there too, but today I prefer to walk forward: to live “in the now”, and truly see all the good things in the world. The air is warm and dry. Fleecy clouds float high in the bright blue sky, and the sunlight glitters and shines off the trees. In the distance, I saw my cousins playing in the path that follows the river. They talk and point, and laugh together, as they enjoy the day. What a beautiful and peaceful scene it makes!

My heart is suddenly full of joy as I remember that it is New Year’s Day. A day to start afresh and to feel overwhelming gratitude for the gift of life that God has given me. It is the beginning of a beginning, and tears gather in my eyes with the power and sweetness of this simple thought.

I decided to pay tatay a visit in his grave, as the breeze blows by and makes the leaves flutter on the trees next to me.  I am reminded of other days in the past when sadness and hopelessness were my only companions. I say a silent prayer for him, and profound thanks, to God, for me. Then I walk on. Continue reading
