My name is Rojae. Roj for short.

Photobucket

A Blogger. A Virtual Assistant. Freelance Web Researcher. A Registered Nurse. A Frustrated Singer. A More Frustrated Dancer. A Hopeless Romantic. Insane Friend. Spongebob Lover. Photography Addict. Food Lover. And most of all – A Traveler.

An adventurer in almost all things possible. And that’s how “adventuRoj” came about.

I wasn’t always a traveler. Other than occasional Christmas vacations in Sarangani Province, my family didn’t travel very much. I grew up in a suburb rural barangay in the town of Tupi, South Cotabato and never saw what it’s like to be in a city until I was 6 years old.

Time passed, coupled with plentiful of blessings from Him (of which I’ll be forever grateful for) and from the people around me, I am where I am now. I am now earning independently virtually, and since it’s online I get to manage the luxury of my time. This allowed me to travel anywhere I wanna go.

I’ve already been to a lot of places, and hoping to be on a lot more. Great thanks to Cebu Pacific and their promo fares, I get to travel more and spend less.

I absolutely love traveling; there’s no better feeling than being on the road with no plans, except to continue the journey. I love the friendships that I’ve made, and maintained, the cultures I’ve been immersed in, and…just, everything! It’s so hard to express my feelings towards traveling, as I feel that they are truly ineffable.

And so here in my blog I’d like to share this happiness that walks on busy feet. You’ll find a myriad of adventures divided into different categories – Travel. Eat. Shoot. Laugh. Live. and Love, each written from the heart, with the end goal of bringing a smile into yours.

All of the pictures on this page have been taken by either myself (have I mentioned that I’m also a photo buff?) or a friend while on our travels, if you’d like to use any of them please leave a note or a comment.

Many quotes overlap into other categories, so if you don’t want to miss any, take your time and read through them all. If there’s something I’ve missed, or a story, a quote, anything that you’d like to share – please feel free to do so. I’m always looking for more!

Alright, let’s kick start this page with one of my favourite travel quotes:

“Adventure is a path. Real adventure – self-determined, self-motivated, often risky – forces you to have firsthand encounters with the world. The world the way it is, not the way you imagine it. Your body will collide with the earth and you will bear witness. In this way you will be compelled to grapple with the limitless kindness and bottomless cruelty of humankind – and perhaps realize that you yourself are capable of both. This will change you. Nothing will ever again be black-and-white.” – Mark Jenkins

  6. Hello Ms. Rojae,

    A pleasant day to you.

I will be launching s2kd by the end of April. Primarily it will be a collection of personal stories of travel in the Philippines. The basic idea is for people to share the excitement of going places and at the same time offer useful information to would-be wanderers.

In connection with this I am requesting your permission to allow me to republish in full (text and images) your blog post at

    https://adventuroj.com/2012/09/28/iloilo-boracay-roadtrip-v-roxas-capiz-aklan-kalibo/

As usual, full credits along with a link back to your article will accompany the republished content.

A preview of s2kd is available at http://s2kd.blogspot.com/

    Hoping for your approval.

    Sincerely,
    Ronald Alcazar
