Up, up, and away: Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2012

Finally Sunday came, and we’re off to witness the 17th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2012.

This year’s Fiesta re-ignited not just the hot air balloon burners but also interests in everything in flight: hot air balloons, training aircraft, helicopters, commercial planes as well as sky diving and paragliding. For four days, about a hundred enticing hot air balloons of different fun designs from a dog, to a panda, to a huge ice cream, floated above the enthusiastic crowd. Continue reading

Backpackers Budget Guide on Going to Subic (Part 1/4 of Subic & Clark’s Adventure)

I’ve always dreamt to fly, to see the world from above, sail like a falcon, and feel the cool touch of the wind on my face. This and the many other reasons that conspired, including of course my adventuroj side, led me to my next travel destination – off to Clark, Pampanga’s Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Festival, and since we’re already there, might as well head out for a side trip to Subic, Olongapo city, Zambales as well.

And so the following is my backpacking guide and sample itinerary for a budget Clark and Subic escapade. Continue reading

Let Alone in Bukidnon (Part 1)

This year Adventuroj decided to spend her birthday away from the routinary parties that one used to have. Instead, she went on a sojourn into a place where she hadn’t gone before – and as usual another adventure had begun, this time at the Pineapple Capital of the Philippines, the Province of Bukidnon. Singapore Chronicles

After taking a nap, and with a camera on one hand and the itinerary on the other, we headed out to get to know Singapore more.  Getting around Singapore is not difficult. It’s just a small place that you could actually visit almost all the places aboard their MRT.

We ‘topped up’ (that’s how they call loading their cards here) our MRT cards and headed to our first stop this afternoon – Raffles Place. Continue reading

Singapore Chronicles: Pre Departure Preparation (1/4)

Last November 4-8, 2011 had been one of the most memorable days in my travel calendar. With the help of Cebu Pacific’s promo fares, I was able to book a roundtrip ticket to Singapore for less than Php3,000. Imagine that!

And since a friend of mine is going there as well to visit his brother who’s working there, I decided to join her in her adventure – and so my Singapore experience began. Continue reading

Add some spice in your life slice by slice!

Of all the good things that had been laid on my table – I consider pizzas as one of the bestest.  And yes, one of my ever favorites!

Who wouldn’t crave for that that slice of melted cheese, with a little salty gooey satisfaction, sprinkled with Italian spices, overloaded with toppings – pepperonies, onions, ham, meats, mushrooms, veggies, add up a sauce – sometimes sweet or tart with a tomatoey taste, layered over a slightly buttery, soft and fluffy crust? YUUMMMMYYY!!!

It’s like having a slice of heaven here on earth, isn’t it?! Extremely addicting.

And so, just like any other addictions – the addict won’t stop until she gets to taste all the drugs there is! Continue reading
