Palawan: Butterfly Garden

Palawan Butterfly Garden is the home of different species of butterflies endemic to the province. The Butterfly Garden is located in Sta. Monica, Puerto Princesa. It’s a small garden filled with beautiful butterflies in their natural habitat where lots of plants and flowers where butterflies can frolic onto.

Palawan Butterfly Garden also has a few surprises. There are also other species of other animals such as walking sticks and scorpions.

Entrance fee is just 50 pesos and you can stay for as long as you like inside.

How to get there:

  • Tricycle – There are some tricycle drivers who would offer you city tour in Puerto Princesa for 500-800 pesos. This is usually part of their tour. That’s how we were able to get there.
  • Take a multicab going to Sta Monica, tell driver to stop at the Butterfly Garden (20php)

  2. Hi I was wondering if you remember the names of the type of species the butterfly pictures you took? I use to live in coron palawan long time ago and one butterflies brings back good memories.
